Gordon-Hughes & Associates offers three distinct levels of search and recruitment. Each offering is defined below. Depending on the urgency, criticality and confidentiality of a client's staffing requirements, one of the following options will apply:

CONTINGENCY SEARCH

This is the standard bearer in our industry. Simply stated, no fees are paid unless you hire a candidate referred by Gordon-Hughes & Associates. Our methodology is modified slightly and the fee is billed and due when the new employee reports to work.

RETAINED SEARCH

When the search requires a high degree of confidentiality, urgency and broad market coverage, retained search may be appropriate. This represents the highest level of service provided by Gordon-Hughes & Associates. We apply all of our resources to the project and dedicate a team of professionals whose only function is to complete the assignment.

Generally, a negotiated fee is agreed to and is billed in three installments. The initial amount is due upon execution of the retained search agreement which secures our full commitment to the initiative. The next payment is billed 30 days subsequently. The balance is due only after the search is concluded which is defined as acceptance and established start date. Gordon-Hughes & Associates utilizes this approach to communicate our commitment to project completion.

ENGAGEMENT SEARCH

Gordon-Hughes & Associates created this hybrid service offering to provide our client base an option between contingency and retained. Engagement search requires partial funding in advance and is given high priority by our consultants. It is viable when the search is for urgent and critical positions and requires immediate action. This is also an effective way to fill multiple openings or high level search assignments. The initial payment to secure the service is one-third of an estimated compensation level and the balance is due upon the new employee's start date.
